Dr Henry Netscher, Opt-In Mediation Director, is a Nationally Accredited Mediator (NMAS), accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), Parenting Coordinator and Child Consultant.

Opt-In Mediation Services are provided Online or In-person.

Services

For different dispute-types, different Dispute Resolution approaches are required:

Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Coaching ParentingCoordinator and ChildConsultant

FDRP: Assisting parents to make arrangements for their children.

Parenting Coordinator: Assisting parents to implement the Parenting Plan/ Orders

Child Consultant: Interviews the child and brings the child’s voice into Child- Informed FDR/ Mediation (CIM)

Health & Medical Mediation and Dispute Resolution Coaching

Mediation and Dispute Resolution Coaching are beneficial in healthcare settings, in particular when a conflict arises between the patient/ parents/ carer and the medical professionals.

What is a Mediator / FDRP/ Parenting Coordinator/ Child Consultant

A Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) is a Mediator who has undertaken intensive specialised training in the management of high conflict personalities, in screening and assessing families for domestic and family violence, and child abuse.

An FDRP has specialist skills in assisting separated parents to make parenting arrangements which are in the best interests of the children. The FDRP records the terms of the Parenting Plan.

A Parenting Coordinator assists separated parents to implement the Parenting Plan/ Consent Orders/ Parenting Orders.

Child Consultant is a trained practitioner who interviews the children of separated parents and presents the child’s voice in Child Informed Mediation/ FDR.

The purpose of Mediation/ Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) is for a neutral person (Mediator/ FDRP) to assist parties, in a safe and respectful environment to:

Communicate respectfully and collaboratively
Identify issues for discussion (including Agenda-setting)
Explore the needs and interests behind the issues
Generate options for resolution
Put realistic and workable proposals together
Facilitate negotiations
Record the terms of agreement regarding each Agenda item
